We have been offering Hospitality to customers for 30 years. We are a small family run Hotel located on Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness,approximately 1.5Km from the town centre.

Brow Head Hotel and Breezers restaurant was built in late 1890's and offers quaint, large rooms with original woodwork in customer areas. We offer Modern decor & furnishings with some contemporary & modern art works. A friendly family service atmosphere awaits you, ideal for business customers or families alike. By popular request we have shaken off the 'posh & poncey' atmosphere to bring you a home from home.

We include an excellent, Full English breakfast with all bookings including a large selection of cereals, orange juice, tea or fresh ground coffee & toast with a variety of individual jams, marmalades, portion butter / flora margarine.

Vegetarians, Vegan, Jewish & other diets catered for upon advanced request.

Full English breakfast is usually; poached egg (or your request), 2 slices of bacon, sausage & 1 of the following, beans, tomatoes, potato waffle, hash browns or mushrooms (selected by the chef on a day to day basis)

This includes; UNLIMITED Orange Juice / Water, Tea / Coffee & Toast, choice of Kellogg's Cereals. Full English breakfast consists of: 2 eggs (poached / scrambled / fried), 3 slices of bacon, 2 sausages, potato cakes, beans / mushrooms & tomatoe / french toast.

The hotel, 'Empress Villas,' was originally owned by Vickers Armstrong, (now known as BAe Systems,) and once housed top management and other famous people such as Barnes Wallace, the man who created the 'bouncing bomb'. Barnes Wallace stayed in Barrow-in-Furness during the early war years.
