Summit Journeys is a vibrant and exciting outdoor adventure company who, having experienced the wonderful opportunities of the outdoor environment, wish to share this excitement and exhilaration and provide you with a fantastic opportunity and experience that you will remember for a long time after.

This experience might involve trekking across the high rugged fells of the Lake District, taking in the splendour of the majestic mountains and the tranquil lakes, feeling the thrill and adrenaline of climbing rocky crags and buttresses. Or it may be experiencing the wonders of wilderness camping, watching the sun set over the mountains from your tent doorway, camped high on a fell-side. All our courses are based on your requirements and range from introductions for the novice to challenging for the more experienced, dependent on your wishes, and are designed to be as enjoyable and fulfilling as you can handle.

Activities offered

Guided Mountain Walking Holidays and Mountain Skills
The Lake District offers many summits to ascend, with more than 170 fells over 600 metres in height, as well as many passes to traverse and low level routes taking in lake-shore paths and hidden valley tracks, offering a great multitude of options for Summer Hillwalking routes.

Rock Climbing
Crags are abundant in the Lake District providing fantastic opportunities for all level of abilities. Just imagine topping out on a route you have just completed whether it be your first experience of climbing or progressing your skills!

Ghyll Scrambling
The exhilarating activity of ascending mountain streams and gorges; climb waterfalls, traverse rocky obstacles, jump deep swirling plunge pools! You won't believe how much fun this is until you've tried it!
