DESCRIPTION OF WHICHAM OLD SCHOOL

The school was built in 1540 making it the oldest in Cumbria. It was converted to a family home in 1979 and was bought by the present owners in the autumn of 2001. The school is situated at the foot of Black Combe, aprox.2000 ft, within the Lake District National Park. It lies at the most westerly point of the beautiful Whicham Valley close to the seaside village of Silecroft. We offer en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation.
