Billy combines power and rhythmic dexterity with sensitivity and subtlety. His legendary career began at the age of 19 when he played with Miles Davies. From that auspicious beginning he went on to collaborate with George Benson, Jack Bruce, Peter Gabriel, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Tito Puente, John McLaughlin….. (to name just a few!)

Pioneering band and percussion wizards, Asere, have impressed many over the last few years with their interpretation of Cuba’s musical traditions. The seven-piece band has produced a creative repertoire in a style that is built on the work of their predecessors yet has an exciting contemporary edge of its own.
